Coronal Polishing & Topical Fluoride ($425)
A dental assistant holding this expanded duty permit may polish coronal surfaces of teeth, or prepare teeth for band cementation or bonding of brackets utilizing a slow speed rotary handpiece and rubber cup or brush (examination for calculus and scaling must be done by a dentist or dental hygienist), and apply topical fluoride and desensitizing agents..

Requirements:
(Each of the below requirements must be met)
- Participant has a minimum of one consecutive year active chair side experience as a dental assistant
- Participant has worked for at least one practice no less than six (6) months since being employed as an active chairside dental assistant.
- Hold a current Dental Assisting Permit from the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry.
- Must be currently employed as a chairside dental assistant.
- The first two requirements are waived if the assistant graduated from an Oklahoma CODA Accredited Dental Assisting Program (click link to see list)
- Participants are required to provide their own slow-speed handpiece. Please do not enroll more employees than you have available handpieces.
- The participant is required to provide a patient (and potentially a stand-in patient) for this course.
- The participant is also required to provide their own PPE and some supplies
Before Enrolling
- ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED ONLINE. Hard copy applications will not be accepted.
- The enrollment fee must be PAID IN FULL and the application approved before the applicant will be given a spot in the course.
- You will not be considered for enrollment with an incomplete application (Read carefully to avoid a delay in your enrollment.)
- Applications will be processed in the order they are received.
- Once payment is received and the application is approved, a final confirmation with receipt will be sent. If payment was submitted online, please allow up to 7 business days for your final confirmation
