Local Anesthesia

Local Anesthesia ($1015)
Dental Hygienists authorized by the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry to perform this advanced procedure may administer local anesthesia.

Please read the following information before proceeding to the application at the bottom of the page. Failure to do so could potentially delay or void your enrollment.

Requirements
EACH OF THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET:
  • Hold a current Oklahoma Dental Hygiene License. Applicants from other states are welcome to apply, but it is your responsibility to find out if the course will carry over to your current state. This course is designed to meet Oklahoma Board of Dentistry guidelines.
  • Proof of Professional Liability Insurance. If you are not covered under your employer's Professional Liability Insurance, you will need to provide your own.
  • Have a Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer CPR card or eCard from a provider that does IN-PERSON skills testing (No online skills testing allowed.)
  • CPR must be current at the time of the course. If it expires before the course, you must renew before enrolling.
  • National CPR Foundation Courses are not accepted.
  • All participants must administer AND receive local anesthesia. You can not take this course if you are pregnant.
Before Enrolling
  • All applications must be submitted online. Hard copy applications will not be accepted.
  • The enrollment fee must be PAID IN FULL and the application approved before the applicant will be given a spot in the course.
  • You will not be considered for enrollment with an incomplete application (includes incorrect CPR or Professional Liability insurance or CPR that is not current at the time of the course.)
  • Applications will be processed in the order they are received.
  • Once payment is received and the application is approved, a final confirmation with receipt will be sent.
