We Carbocaine without any vasoconstrictor since we’re not performing any procedures on the students. There are normally fewer issues with high blood pressure and heart racing when no epi (vasoconstrictor) is used. If you are still concerned, please email us your concerns and we can check with the lead instructor.

Carbocaine (mepivacaine) is the anesthetic (numbing medicine) used for this course.  Vasoconstrictors are not used since there is no need to prolong the effect.

Not if you are covered by your employer’s policy. You will need to confirm your coverage before applying for this course.

There are no employment requirements for this course as long as you are a licensed Dental Hygienist and have professional liability insurance, BUT you do have to give 15 injections under the supervision of a licensed dentist within a year of taking the course.
