As Executive Director of the ODF, John works to support the outreach, educational efforts and programming of the staff, develops the resources for building programs and ensures that the Board of Trustees continues to better the ODF to provide improved oral health for all Oklahomans.
Prior to joining the ODF, John was the Executive Director of Safe Kids Oklahoma. He has been the owner of Alliance Resource Group, Inc., a consulting company specializing in not-for-profit fund development, board training, marketing, and public relations. He has worked with nonprofits and political campaigns throughout Oklahoma and across the nation since 1986.
His prior positions also include Vice-President for Civic Affairs at Oklahoma Christian University, and the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, where he oversaw fundraising.
John is a deacon in his church and has been the Missions Ministry Director since 2009 with mission outreach efforts in 15 nations and a worldwide budget of nearly $2.5 million. A graduate of Oklahoma State University, John lives in Oklahoma City with his wife Teresa and their two children, Victoria and Landon.
Patrick currently serves as the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Project Manager. The ODF ARPA Project is a $5.1 million effort which will see 5 new Mobile Dental Clinics built in 2024 for the ODF. These mobile clinics will be deployed across Oklahoma to extend the service and reach of the Foundation to underserved populations with the goal of allowing Oklahomans the opportunity of having more effective and rewarding lives. Before joining the team, Patrick served as Advancement Vice President, Project Manager, Sales and Development Director (both profit and nonprofit), along with Marketing and Public Relations positions. He values team efforts and believes strong relationships are the key to any project’s long-term success. Patrick is married with two grown daughters and two grandchildren, all of whom reside in Oklahoma. He can attest that two grandsons keep his non-work time very full and wonderfully busy. A native Texan, he has lived in Oklahoma since 1993.
Dr. Jana Winfree is delighted to join the ODF team as Dental Director, a role primarily focused on expanding the MobileSmiles program. She earned a bachelor’s in zoology, a master’s in public health and a doctor of dental surgery degree – all from the University of Oklahoma. Highlights of her career include clinical practice with the Neighborhood Services Organization, teaching at Rose State College, serving nursing home residents and fifteen years as Dental Director for the Oklahoma State Department of Health. These rich experiences inform Dr. Winfree’s philosophy of health and deepen her connection with the people of Oklahoma. Strolling through parks, exploring the arts and supporting community water fluoridation are favorite pastimes.
Connie has been a dental assistant for more than 30 years. She moved to Oklahoma from California 17 years ago. Prior to joining the ODF, she worked in private dental practices. She is our Lead Dental Assistant and enjoys working with different dentists and fourth year dental students from OUCOD. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at home and enjoying life!
Jesenia, also knowns as Jess, has been with the ODF and MobileSmiles Oklahoma full time since August of 2018. Jess is not only one of our dental assistants, but has also been our Mobile Facility Driver since 2018. She has been a dental assistant with the ODF since 2014. Prior to transitioning to the ODF, Jess worked at a private dental office for three years. Jess is passionate about dentistry and the nonprofit work we do at the ODF. She loves helping people and bringing their smiles back. On Saturdays, she also works at a dental training program at a private dental office where she is the lead instructor to dental assistant students. Jess and her husband Jose got married in 2022 and reside in Moore. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, family and friends.
Aubrey has been working with the ODF on communication and social media initiatives since 2019. She served as the Special Projects Manager with the Oklahoma Dental Association for several years, and has since been contracting with municipalities and municipal organizations across the state to provide consulting on communications, strategic planning, conference management and board training. Aubrey loves the dedication of the dental community in Oklahoma, and hopes to find creative way to share many of the incredible stories the ODF and MobileSmiles encounter across the state. In her free time, Aubrey teaches dance lessons and coaches a competitive dance team!
